NEW YORK CITY - Charges against one of the two men connected to the biker attack on a man in an SUV in New York City have been dropped.

Allen Edwards turned himself in yesterday, but prosecutors are not currently charging him as they continue to investigate the incident.

Christopher Cruz, of Passaic, is charged with causing the accident when he stopped short on his bike and was hit by the SUV.

When the driver pulled over, police say dozens of bikers surrounded the Range Rover and began damaging the vehicle.

The 33-year-old victim fled the scene with his wife and 2-year-old daughter in the SUV, striking three other bikers.

One of the bikers who was hurt is Edwin Mieses. His family says the incident left him fighting for his life.

Cruz has been charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, endangering the welfare of a child and menacing.

The driver was taken to a hospital, where he was given stitches on his face.

Police believe the bikers may have been part of a gang known as Hollywood Stuntz and was part of a planned but unauthorized event in which hundreds of riders gathered to drive together into Manhattan.
