OCEAN GROVE - A nonprofit that serves cancer patients and their families is asking for the public's help to find a special chair that was stolen from their front lawn.

A pink adirondack chair was hand-crafted by a boy and his father in honor of the child's mother who died of breast cancer. The special seat was donated to Mary's Place By The Sea.

It was stolen Tuesday night from the facility, which provides free services and overnight stays by the beach to women with cancer.

The back of the chair has a small plaque on it dedicated to the boy's mother.

"That was her legacy, and I know it's going to hurt him to know someone took it," says co-founder Michele Gannon.

Anyone with information is asked to call Mary's Place By the Sea.
