TRENTON - Catholics in Trenton gathered today in prayer as cardinals began their papal conclave at the Vatican.

A Mass was held today at the Cathedral of St. Mary the Assumption to pray for the cardinals as they vote for the new leader of the Roman Catholic Church. Bishop David O'Connell, who led the service, said whoever is chosen as the new pope will have an impact on all of the parishes in the world.

O'Connell says he believes the cardinals will not chose someone who is an advocate for policy changes like the ordination of women.
