Cases of bedbugs reported in Ocean, Monmouth counties

POINT PLEASANT - Bedbugs have crept into Point Pleasant Borough Hall.

An exterminator's bedbug-sniffing dog found two "hot spots" yesterday morning after some employees complained. The exterminator says the two "hot spots" are on the rug in the borough administrator's office and in the hallway.

Some municipal employees left, deciding to take a vacation day after they heard that the critters were in the same building as them.

Some parents at Belmar Elementary School say a fourth-grade classroom is also infested and one father claims his child brought them home from the school.
