PRINCETON - A Princeton University student might be the state’s top prospect in Thursday’s NFL draft.
Caraun Reid, 22, is a 300-pound, two-time All-American defensive lineman with a love of singing and faith on his side.
Reid was a member of an a cappella group at Princeton, a pastime he says relieves stress.
His parents raised three boys, moving from Jamaica to the Bronx in the early 1980s. The family is dedicated to the City of Faith Church of God. Bishop Courton Reid, his father, says he will understand if Caraun has to miss a Sunday or two.
Reid is expected to be a third-round draft pick during the NFL draft.
He says he will be home in the Bronx this weekend watching the draft with friends and family.
