In the next few weeks your kids get off from school for the summer which means you've gotta feed 'em! So here are 3 easy meals that all revolve around pita bread! Plus they're pretty tasty for adults too!

Homemade Pita Chips1 whole wheat pita pocket, cut into wedgesolive oil salt pepper

*Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.*Place pita wedges on a cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper (if you want flavored chips try garlic powder, or for a sweet spin use cinnamon and sugar) and use hands (or let the kids)to mix it all together.*Once well-coated, arrange chips in a single layer on the sheet and place in the oven for 4 minutes - flip them after 2.

Pita Pizza 1 whole wheat pita pocket, cut into 2 discs 4 tbs. crushed tomato 1 oz fresh mozzarella cheese fresh basil (or not if the kids won't eat anything "green")salt pepper

*Preheat oven to 350 degrees.*Place pita discs directly onto oven racks until they JUST become crisp but are not browning. Remove them and place on a cookie sheet.*Top each disc with 2 tbs of tomato and a half ounce of mozzarella.*Sprinkle with salt and pepper and tear up a fresh basil leaf over each.*Return to oven until cheese is melted.

Pita Dogs 1 whole wheat pita pocket - cut in half, making 2 pockets 2 all-beef hot dogs hot dog fixings - whatever your kids like

*Cook hot dogs however you like.*Let the kids fill their pockets with whatever fixings they like.*Cut each hot dog in half so it fits in the pocket.
