Cara’s Cucina: Checkers Super Bowl Snacks

Checkers Wings

Chicken pieces
salt & pepper
canola oil
Medium BBQ Sauce and/or Honey BBQ Sauce

*Season chicken pieces with salt & pepper.
*Heat canola oil in a deep fry pan until a small piece of chicken sizzles immediately when placed in oil
*Fry chicken pieces in oil until meat is cooked and skin is a deep golden brown - don't over crowd the pan, you may have to work in batches.
*Remove wings from pan and drain on paper towel lined plate.
*Toss slightly cooled wings in a bowl with sauce of choice until completely coated.
*Serve with blue cheese dressing, celery and carrot sticks if desired.

Checkers Loaded Fries

Homemade or store-bought french fries
Shredded cheddar cheese
Bacon bits
Ranch sauce/dressing

*Cook fries according to package instructions.
*Top with cheese and bacon and broil briefly until cheese melts.
*Add ranch dressing on top or on the side and serve.
