WOODBRIDGE - Police say a driver lost control of his car and crashed into a home in Woodbridge today, rupturing a gas line and prompting an evacuation in the neighborhood.

It happened just before 6 p.m. The car struck the side of house, rupturing a natural gas line outside of a building.

Police say the driver suffered minor injuries. People living in the homes next door were evacuated as a precaution.

Crews from the Elizabethtown Gas company and firefighters responded to the scene.
