SADDLE BROOK - ? A car crash at the Bergen Toll Plaza on the Garden State Parkway left one car in flames and the driver hospitalized, according to police.

Officials say that a car sideswiped another car and sent it crashing into the toll plaza on the northbound side, causing it to burst into flames at around 3:45 p.m.

Authorities say the crash and subsequent fire damaged two toll lanes and the canopy over a third.

Police say the driver of the car that burst into flames was taken to the hospital after suffering chest pains, according to police.

Parkway officials say that tolls are again being collected after they had suspended them due to the crash and that repairs to the toll plaza will be made over the weekend.
