A car that slammed into a house early this morning in Newark is now being investigated as a murder, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's

NEWARK - A car that slammed into a house early this morning in Newark is now being investigated as a murder, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.

Authorities say the accident happened just after 2 a.m. at the corner of South 19th Street and Clinton Avenue.

The prosecutor's office says a young man was found dead in a maroon BMW after it slammed into a home at the intersection.

Officials have not said how the victim died.
