Campaign to rename Clifton park causes uproar

CLIFTON - A renowned attorney is going on the attack over the possible renaming of a local Clifton park.

On Friday, the Clifton Council received several letters requesting that a portion of Richardson Scale Park be renamed after the late Chester Grabowski.

Grabowski was a prominent member of the Polish community, and also published a Polish-American newspaper.

However, famed attorney Alan Dershowitz says Grabowski was an anti-Semite.

Dershowitz is promising protests and pickets if plans to rename the park after Grabowski move forward.

The Clifton council says there are no plans to rename the park anytime soon.
