Brush fire burns in Ringwood

Firefighters are battling a brush fire in Ringwood today for the second day in a row.Officials say the blaze broke out at around 2:30 p.m.

RINGWOOD - Firefighters are battling a brush fire in Ringwood today for the second day in a row.

Officials say the blaze broke out at around 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon in the Windbeam Mountains. They say so far, about 10 to 15 acres of land have burned.

Police, fire and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service have responded to the call and a helicopter dropped water to help contain the fire.

Officials say luckily, no homes are at risk at this time.
