BRICK - The Brick Memorial High School Marching Band will resume rehearsals after noise complaints forced them to shut down.

The award-winning Marching Mustangs had their outdoor practice cut short by police Tuesday evening after neighbors complained their children couldn't sleep.

Police say a deal has been reached by those residents and the school district as to when and where the practices will be held.

"It echoes off the school building," says neighbor Lori Maccioli. "So I could see how some people could have a problem with it."

The band usually practices on the football field, but it was unavailable this week, so they were using the parking lot.

The lot and homes on Alexander Drive are separated only by a small strip of trees.
