EDISON - A bounty hunter claims that he runs into the same problems over and over again due to missing warrants in Essex County.

Lou Faccone is one of only 72 bounty hunters licensed by the New Jersey State Police to track down and pick up fugitives. Faccone could spend days watching, waiting and hoping to grab his target and collect his pay, which is usually 10 percent of the fugitive's bond.

Faccone says the problem is the lag time between the issuance of a bench warrant and when that warrant finally shows up in the system as active. He says such snags jeopardize his license.

Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura declined to discuss the matter on camera, but issued a statement acknowledging a backlog.
