Boonton H.S. student left behind on class field trip

BOONTON - Boonton dad Eric Moyles says he wants an explanation from his daughter's school after she was left behind on a field trip Monday afternoon.

A group of Boonton High School students were at the County College of Morris in Randolph for an art show. Moyles says the bus that brought 30 students to the college campus left with 28, leaving behind his daughter and one of her friends. News 12 New Jersey reached out to both the school's principal and superintendent, but no calls were immediately returned.

Moyles says he's spoken to the principal, who told him it was the teacher's responsibility to count the kids before the bus left.

Moyles says he'd also like an apology from both the school and the teacher.
