NEWARK - Newark Mayor Cory Booker delivered his State of the City address tonight at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC).

In his speech, Mayor Booker focused on what he calls one of the biggest economic development booms in a generation. He also presented a fiscal plan that he says has put the city back on track. Booker praised Newark as one of "America's comeback cities."

On the issue of education, Booker declared his support for Superintendent Cami Anderson. She has created some controversy recently with her plans to close several failing schools in favor of new, specialized schools, as well as her plan to raise standards for teachers and principals.
