The advisory follows a water main break in the area of Tingley Lane.

EDISON - Middlesex Water Company says the boil water advisory affecting nearly 200 customers in Edison due to yesterday's water main break has been lifted.

1. Run your water faucets for 3-5 minutes to flush your service connection and interior plumbing with water from the service main.

2. Empty and clean your automatic ice makers and water chillers.

3. Drain and refill your hot water heater if the temperature is set below 113 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. Service connections with a water softener/cartridge filters should be run through a regeneration cycle or other procedures recommended by the manufacturer.
