ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK - Crews have recovered a body in Island Beach State Park, near the area where a missing swimmer was last seen Friday.

A fisherman discovered the body at around 7:30 a.m. The Ocean County Medical Examiner is currently working to determine if it is the missing swimmer.

The swimmer, a 25-year-old French national, disappeared in water that was unprotected by lifeguards Friday afternoon, prompting a massive search.

Police say it was the man's first time trying to swim in the ocean.
