OCEAN TOWNSHIP - School buses in Ocean Township may be getting a new look, and it's not just a paint job.
The school district in Monmouth County joins a growing list of districts trying to raise revenue by selling advertisement space on the exterior of buses.
The ads must be approved by the Board of Education, and by law, alcohol, tobacco and political ads are not permitted.

Proceeds will be split between the busing program and the district's general fund.
"Our Board of Education is always looking for new streams to help manage the tax dollars in town," Superintendent of Schools John Lysko says. The Board of Ed "thought it was an excellent opportunity for our school district and our community," Lysko says.
Some school buses in Washington Township, Deptford, Gateway Regional in Gloucester County, and Atlantic County also have ads.
The measure permitting this move was signed into law by Gov. Christie two and a half years ago.
