FREEHOLD - A BMX stunt show was held in Freehold Sunday with an emphasis on safety.

The show was held in the parking lot of I-Play America.

Among the stunt riders was Vinny Mannino, a 24-year-old who is part of the New Jersey-based Hell on Wheel stunt show. Their performances are often seen during NFL halftimes or during NASCAR weekends.

The message of today's event: always wear safety gear. The riders were equipped head-to-toe in case their landings were less than perfect.

The show plans on taking their act worldwide starting with a performance in Tokyo next year.
