EDISON - A blood drive was held Saturday for the son of a fallen firefighter.

John Barnas is the son of veteran firefighter Greg Barnas, who was killed in the line of duty Feb. 28 in Wallington.

John, also a New Jersey firefighter, is battling cancer.

The Oradell Volunteer Fire Department hosted the blood drive at the Oradell Fire House on Kinderkamack Road.

News 12 has learned that close to 100 units of blood were collected during the drive.
