Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is making his way through New Jersey with a month to go before the state's primary.

NEW BRUNSWICK - Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is making his way through New Jersey with a month to go before the state's primary.

Sanders held a rally at the Louis Brown Athletic Center at Rutgers University, discussing universal health care and free higher education, among other topics.

The Vermont senator will also hold a free rally Monday morning at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

He and Hillary Clinton are eyeing 142 delegates up for grabs in New Jersey. Clinton needs 270 more to clinch the nomination.

The latest Monmouth University poll shows Clinton 28 points ahead of Sanders in the Garden State.

New Jersey's primary is on June 7.
