EDISON - A Somerset County chef is bringing local herbs and vegetables to the menu at the Bernards Inn.

Chef Corey Heyer maintains a garden in Far Hills where he grows a variety of items that are the inspiration for his entrees.

"It's unbelievable to serve a tomato that's still warm from the afternoon sun," says Chef Heyer. "We know what we have everyday and we can pick it fresh and use it that day."
