Bergenfield set to repair major roadways plagued with potholes

BERGENFIELD - The town of Bergenfield has plans to repave several major roadways plagued with potholes as the mayor of Bergenfield has reportedly set aside $1.6 million for road-repair projects.

Many say the project to repave is long overdue. News 12 New Jersey spoke with some drivers who say main roads are like minefields, with cracks and craters littering the blacktop. Debbie Santangelo tells News 12 New Jersey that she drives along the pothole-filled streets every day, which is why she says her 2011 Honda is already beat up.

Bids for the yearlong repaving project are expected to go out at the end of the month.
