The uncle of an 11-year-old boy is facing charges after police say he poured boiling water on the child in Bergenfield.The child suffered second-degree burns

BERGENFIELD - The uncle of an 11-year-old boy is facing charges after police say he poured boiling water on the child in Bergenfield.

The child suffered second-degree burns on 30-percent of his body. He was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center for treatment.

Mohammed Rizvie is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and child endangerment.

Police say Rezvie has a history of mental health problems.
