HACKENSACK - Bergen County has more than two dozen new police chiefs, and they're all under 15 years old.

A special group of kids were sworn in today as "chief for a day" during an event designed to brighten the lives of local children with chronic health conditions.

Each child received their own uniform and toured their local police department to learn about law enforcement.

"It's fun," says Tommy Minervini. "It's fun to see how they crack cases. I got to shoot guns. I found out how they do fingerprints. It's really fun."
