ENGLEWOOD - An Englewood-based company is recalling more than 500,000 bags of ready-to-eat popcorn over possible contamination.

The Dale and Thomas Company says several varieties of their "popcorn Indiana" brand could contain potentially fatal listeria.

The affected varieties are packaged in red bags with "best by" dates between Feb. 4, 2013 through March 12, 2013.

People exposed to listeria may suffer only short-term illnesses, including high fever, nausea, and diarrhea. Listeria exposure is sometimes linked to miscarriage and stillbirth in pregnant women.
