Bergen Co. man charged in attack at son's football practice

UPPER SADDLE RIVER - Police say a Bergen County father has been charged for attacking another parent at his son's fourth-grade football practice in Upper Saddle River.

Police say 46-year-old Juan Correa was watching his son's football team practice when one player allegedly hit his son after the play was over. Correa then allegedly hit that child's father in the head, knocking him out of his chair. Like Us on Facebook

Correa is charged with simple assault. It's a fourth-degree crime because the incident happened in the presence of a child under age 16 at a youth sporting event.

Police say coaches broke up the fight and the victim did not seek medical attention.
