BELMAR - Town officials in Belmar announced today the “Buy a Board” campaign. It would allow residents and visitors to donate money toward the actual boards that make up the boardwalk.

“This is a great opportunity for those who have come to love Belmar as a clean, beautiful and family beach to be a part of the boardwalk reconstruction process,” said Mayor Matt Doherty today.
 Board level options are as follows:
* $5,000 Big Kahuna
* $2,500 Surf Rider
* $1,000 Sun Worshiper
* $500 Boogie Boarder
* $250 Board Runner
* $100 Clam Digger
* $25 Beach Bum
Contributors will also be able to have their name and board level displayed on a beach entrance of their choice.
Doherty said that with everyone’s help, this summer will be no different than years past.
