Newark fire officials say a bed-ridden man was killed tonight in an apartment building fire.The Newark Fire Department was called to the fire at 419

NEWARK - Newark fire officials say a bed-ridden man was killed tonight in an apartment building fire.The Newark Fire Department was called to the fire at 419 Sanford Ave. just before 7:00 p.m.

The fire appears to have started in the bedroom of a fourth-floor apartment. The victim's identity has not yet been released. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
