BEACH HAVEN - A famous theater and ice cream shop in Beach Haven are in danger of closing if they fail to receive the proper funding.

The Surflight Theatre and the adjacent Show Place Ice Cream Parlour will close unless they raise $500,000 by Oct. 31.

The theater is facing foreclosure and the Board of Trustees is asking for public donations to remain open. The non-profit theater, which has been around for 61 years, is one of the largest employers on Long Beach Island.
