Bayonne's Newark Bay shoreline is looking good as Sandy cleanup efforts come to a close. The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission and the Clean Shores Program

BAYONNE - Bayonne's Newark Bay shoreline is looking good as Sandy cleanup efforts come to a close.

The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission and the Clean Shores Program announced that they've completed their river restoration.

More than 300,000 pounds of debris were removed, including piers, tires and an old boat.

The cleanup began after navigational hazards were uncovered.
