BAYONNE - As fresh snow fell on New Jersey Saturday, people in many cities were still digging out from Thursday's storm.

Crews with the City of Bayonne loaded up mountains of snow on Avenue C. Avenues A and B will be done next as the city digs out from 15 inches of snow. Bayonne is dumping its snow at the 16th Street Park.

While the main avenues are being cleared, the side streets are still covered, leaving residents struggling to get unstuck.

In Jersey City, some cars were encased in so much snow that they were barely visible. In a city where many people get around on foot, icy intersections made for dangerous trips for pedestrians.
