KEANSBURG - Heavy rain has flooded streets in many coastal areas, and residents are keeping an eye on the tides as a spring soaker rolls through.

In Keansburg, water levels on some roads have reached up to a foot or more.

Drivers were advised not to drive through flooded areas because of the risk of damaging their vehicle or getting stuck in the floodwaters.

The bay shore communities saw flooding around high tide Tuesday night and expect similar conditions when the tides roll through on Thursday.
