Batman comic fans celebrate 75 years with event in Clifton

The caped crusader is celebrating a big birthday today, as the comic marks 75 years. DC Comics has designated July 23 as Batman Day.

CLIFTON - The caped crusader is celebrating a big birthday today, as the comic marks 75 years.

DC Comics has designated July 23 as Batman Day. Kids and their parents gathered at the Barnes and Noble in Clifton for a special appearance from the Dark Knight himself.

Several children were looking forward to the upcoming movie, "Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Batman premiered in DC Comics in 1939, and his sidekick Robin was introduced a year later.
