Bartending contest held in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE - Thursday night bartenders in Woodbridge brought new meaning to the term "get your drink on."A packed crowd at the Friday's in Woodbridge cheered on 10 local contenders for "Friday's World's Greatest Bartender" competition. The challenge for the mixologists was blocking out all of the noise and concentrating on the customer's order.

"You have to practice a really long time you have to know your drinks," said Jenny Ayers, 25, one of the top contenders. "There's a lot more that goes into it rather than flipping bottles."

The drinks are poured, and auctioned off for the Feeding America Charity. "Friday's Greatest Bartender competition" raised $10,000 for the Feeding America charity Thursday night. The competition is now in it's 21st year.
