AVON-BY-THE-SEA - Avon-By-The-Sea police say that a body has been discovered near the Ocean Avenue Bridge.

The bridge is near the Shark River inlet, just one and a half miles away from where 15-year-old Naisere Nelson, of Neptune, went missing in the Atlantic Ocean off Bradley Beach last Thursday.

The body discovered this afternoon is still awaiting an autopsy by the Monmouth County medical examiner and has not yet been identified, but Avon-By-The-Sea police say they believe the body is most likely Nelson.
