PATERSON - A teen charged in the unprovoked attack of a Paterson man last year that was captured on video has pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated assault and endangering an injured victim.
Kristian Gonzales, 18, entered his pleas Wednesday during a brief court hearing. It came one day after he turned himself in.
Authorities have said the teen punched the victim in the face last December as the man was about to cross a city street on Dec. 7. He was 17 when the attack occurred.

The victim, who is in his 50s, was hospitalized and released.
Gonzalez's attorney says that the teen suffers from schizophrenia and other mental disorders and takes daily medication.
A 16-year-old boy who allegedly encouraged the other teen and also recorded the attack had turned himself in on Saturday night. He faces the same charges.
Prosecutors have not said whether they will seek to try either teen as an adult.
