PATERSON - Officials say they have located a dog that escaped a deadly crash last Sunday in Paterson.

Paterson Chief Animal Control Officer John De Cando said the 40-pound basset hound mix named "Bodhi" was found on McBride Avenue, several blocks from the scene of the crash.

John Everhart, of Bethesda, Md., was driving the SUV when police say it overturned on Interstate 80 near exit 57, killing the 20-year-old man.

Everhart's family had used a Petfinder.com service to send fliers to veterinarians and animal shelters in the area.
