BRANCHBURG - Authorities have released the names of two people found dead inside a Somerset County man's home last weekend.

County prosecutors say the bodies of 78-year-old Louis Simon and his 65-year-old wife, Beatrice, were identified through autopsies conducted by the state's Regional Medical Examiner's Office, with the assistance of a forensic odonatologist.

Both victims died of blunt force trauma to the head. Both deaths were ruled homicides.

The bodies were found Saturday at the Branchburg Township home of 20-year-old Ezra Simon-Daniels. Authorities went there after police in nearby Readington Township received a 911 call from a distraught Simon-Daniels, who was found sitting in a car, covered in blood.

Simon-Daniels faces two murder counts. He remains jailed on $2 million, and it wasn't known Tuesday if he has an attorney.

Prosecutors have declined comment on any possible relation between Simon-Daniels and the victims.
