Aunt stunned by nephew's animal cruelty arrest
BRICK - The aunt of the man accused of animal cruelty says she was stunned today when she learned of his arrest.
Keith Morgan and his wife, Shauna, are facing charges of animal cruelty and filing a false report after they claimed to have found a neglected dog abandoned on the side of the road. The dog, known as Morgan, had severely matted fur and was covered in waste when the Morgans brought him to the Associated Humane Society (AHS) in Tinton Falls Thursday. Police now believe the Morgans are responsible for the condition of the dog.
Morgan's aunt says she was devastated and surprised by the allegations. However, some neighbors say they don't find the reports difficult to believe.
