ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS - A staple for Southern-style barbecue food in Atlantic Highlands is closing its doors after 32 years.

Memphis Pig Out, known for serving up pulled-pork sandwiches, barbecue ribs and more, is getting ready to shutter for good.

Owners Mark and Connie Strassburg say they're ready to retire and enjoy life while they're in good health. They sold their building and liquor license to an undisclosed buyer, and it's unclear what type of restaurant will be replacing their beloved joint.

The couple plans to close the Memphis Pig Out by the end of May.
