ASBURY PARK - In the wake of recent violence, Asbury Park says it will receive additional support in curbing violence from the county level.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office is increasing its presence in the city by adding three additional investigators and one sergeant.
Asbury Park has seen an increase in shootings in recent weeks, including the Friday night murder of a 20-year-old man on Washington Avenue.

The prosecutor's office says 24 people in the city have been shot this year. Four of those shootings were fatal.
