Asbury Park Historical Society set to unveil new museum

ASBURY PARK - The Asbury Park Historical Society is set to unveil its new music museum tomorrow.

The ?Asbury Park: Where Music Lives? exhibit will open on Cookman Avenue, showcasing the rich music history of the city?s west side.

Displays will feature photos of jazz legend Billie Holiday at Cuba?s Spanish Tavern on Springwood Avenue and the 1956 Convention Hall riot while Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers performed.

Many Asbury Park performers are expected to attend the grand opening at 6 p.m. tomorrow night.
