WOODBRIDGE - The grocery industry is having a tough time dealing with the recession and some stores are making cuts to compensate.
Wegmans has put a price-freeze on more than 40 store-brand staples, including pasta, ground beef, chicken, peanut butter, certain cold cuts and bananas. ACME is cutting prices on more than 700 store items. News 12 New Jersey spoke to shoppers in Woodbridge. Some said that prices are cheaper than they had been recently.
