BASKING RIDGE - As the snow starts to melt, areas in New Jersey are now in clean-up mode.

In Basking Ridge, the sidewalks were still icy and the roads were still slushy Sunday morning. Rising temperatures have since melted much of the ice and snow.

Overnight on Saturday, Basking Ridge residents told News 12 the roads were treacherous. Some residents are pleased with the town’s efforts to clear the roads.

“The town has been just awesome; they have been out all night,” said Kim Dial, a Basking Ridge resident. “I live on a main road and I could hear the snowplows going by and salting all night long.”

Temperatures across the state are expected to dip into the 20s across the state tonight.
