Arthur Morgan III guilty in 2-year-old daughter Tierra Morgan-Glover's creek-tossing death
FREEHOLD - A Monmouth County jury has convicted a father who tossed his 2-year-old daughter into a creek of murder.
Arthur Morgan III admitted to throwing Tierra Morgan-Glover into the water in November 2011 while she was still strapped into her car seat.
Morgan was also found guilty of endangering the welfare of a child and interference with custody.

Prosecutors say Morgan killed the child to get back at her mother, Imani Benton, for breaking off their engagement. They say he weighed down the car seat with a tire jack before tossing it over a bridge into a Wall Township creek.
"It's the right verdict under the circumstances, and we finally got justice for Tierra Morgan-Glover," says Acting Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.
Morgan showed no emotion as the verdict was read. The girl's family, including her mother, quietly shed tears. They did not comment as they left court Thursday.
Morgan could be sentenced to life in prison without parole on May 28.
Defense lawyers had asked the jury to convict Morgan of reckless manslaughter, which would have meant he could have been released in as little as five years.
