EAST RUTHERFORD - The developers of the American Dream project are suing the owners of the New York Jets and Giants, claiming the teams are delaying construction.
Triple Five developers are accusing the teams of trying to stop the project over traffic concerns. They’re also accusing the Jets and Giants of wanting to retain a monopoly over entertainment dollars spent at the Meadowlands.
Triple Five's legal action comes after the teams filed their own suit to halt the site's expansion.
The Jets and Giants have not responded to News 12 New Jersey's request for comment.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for August.
