METUCHEN - A man who is accused of taking tens of thousands of dollars from a Little League team and their parents apologized on News 12 New Jersey in an exclusive interview.

Police say Lomax solicited and stole $72,000 from a Little League team and its parents. Lomax says his job wasn't paying the rent.

Lomax admits he sent e-mails to more than 170 parents over four years begging for help with his rent. He wrote in the e-mails, "I make this last ditch plea for help from friends. I hate that I have to do this, but I haven't a choice." Lomax insists he will still pay those he took money from back.
