NEWARK - A man wanted in the murder of his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend has been arrested in Newark.
Al-Muqqadin Means, 18, was taken into custody at around noon Monday. He is accused of shooting Aquilla Flood, 17, in the head. Flood was found dead at her East Orange home on June 5.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and East Orange Police Chief William C. Robinson say Means was arrested by detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and members of the FBI Fugitive Task Force.

Flood was a senior at Campus High School, where she was about to graduate.
Means is charged with one count of murder and two weapons offenses. He is being held on $750,000 bail.
The prosecutor has not released information on his first court appearance.
A funeral will be held for Flood on Wednesday.
